Microsoft© Response Point is a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) phone system designed for offices with under 50 phone users. Response Point is a new system that was built from the ground up with the needs of small business users in mind. Key benefits that can now be leveraged by small business include:

  • Automated receptionist with voice recognition. Your customers can call in and ask for you by name-no need to publish or remember phone extensions.
  • Quick user setup and administration. Basic user setup takes minutes and can be done by an office manager or other non-technical staff. Phone moves, call routing, and other special features are all configured using Microsoft’s familiar and intuitive screens and wizards.
  • Integrated Voicemail. Each extension can be easily configured to have voicemail that can be stored on the system and e-mailed to a user.
  • Works over your existing local area network. As a VoIP system, the phones operate over standard office network wiring , eliminating the need for special cabling or additional wiring costs.
  • Works with your existing phone lines. Response Point works with both standard analog phone lines as well as VoIP provider lines. There is no needed to purchase special trunks, T1s, or other specialized lines from your phone company.

On a personal level, Microsoft© Response Point also provides features that can help improve your productivity and customer service-even when you’re out of the office.

  • Voicemail delivery to e-mail. Response Point can send voicemail to your e-mail inbox or any e-mail address where you can easily retrieve it without having to be in the office (e.g. Blackberry or Windows Mobile device).
  • Seamless call forwarding. On the go but don’t want to give your mobile phone number to customers? Response Point can forward calls to any number you choose, including your home office or mobile phone (normal long distance charges will apply).
  • Microsoft Outlook integration for enhanced caller ID and voice dialing. The free Response Point Assistant (included with your system) will check incoming Caller ID numbers against your Outlook to identify who is calling you. It will also allow you to voice dial any of your Outlook contacts.
